Norfolk Island Jazz in the Pines

A Jazz Festival like no other, topped with Norfolk Island natural beauty…

8-12 December 2008

A fun week of music and shows, topped with street bands.

Set amongst spectacular island scenery, the finger-snapping, feel-good week of swing, funk and blues will see top jazz acts feature in numerous shows, as well as roving performances along Norfolk's famous tax-free shopping strip.

2008 program details are currently being put in place and will be advised soon.

Last year, The Vipers, one of New Zealand’s hottest bands opened the Festival performing classic jazz, blues and Bossanova. The Marquee all star concerts featured Australia’s leading jazz vocalist, Vince Jones along with Brisbane- based groove trio Scat Man Du, accomplished vocalist Virna Sanzone, Guitar genius Bruce Mathiske with guest jazz legend George Golla. To top it all up there was also great roving street bands, lunch and dinner concerts Monday and Tuesday and a matinee concert on Wednesday.

On Moday the 3rd and Tuesday the 4th, a dinner concert with Zenith New Orleans Jazz Band was held at the All Seasons Colonial Hotel!
